Through Lisa's artwork she creates her own reality.  A world where an ordinary encounter with nature becomes extraordinary often full of magic and wonder.  As a mixed media and oil artist, she approaches the canvas with a subject in mind and allows the energy of paints, inks and various mark making to tell a story.  Lisa pulls the viewer in, expressing her immediate emotions deliberately, with vibrant colour to convey them  while creating an intimate interpretation so the viewer may experience their own personal encounter.

While she is considered a self taught artist, selling pieces over 3 decades, Lisa has recently obtained certification from The Milan Art Institute where she has truly found her own unique voice.

Animals, plants and nature find their way into her vocabulary of paint and becomes a visual conversation.  Lisa explains, " If a viewer pauses but for a moment to observe and connect with my art, then I have succeeded"

I'm a firm believer that there is beauty in the most ordinary people, places, animals and things that are all around us.  I look for that beauty and try to add  magic in my art so that I can share with you my vision of a better world.  By surrounding oneself with art I believe we can see the beauty where one may only see ugliness.  As quoted by  Robert Rauschenbert, "There is no reason not to consider the world as one gigantic painting"
